“TONY HANDLEY” TRIBUTE TO “JOHN DENVER”. .
You filled the whole world with joy
When you sang “Thank God I’m a Country Boy”:
There was not an audience dry eye
When you sang your “Rocky Mountain High”
And how well we all remember,
“Country Roads” and “Sweet Surrender”
And the whole world wept & asked why
Did a country legend like you have to die?
So as a living tribute to you John,
To help the memory of you live on & on
I sing your songs twenty-four/seven
As you smile down on me from Heaven
I’m not trying to be you & that’s for certain
But since you faced “Your Final Curtain”
Your love of the Mountains & open spaces
The “Look of Love” on your audiences faces
“John Denver” golden voice & golden guitar
America’s shining country music star
As I sing your songs with much humility
With life-long love “In Loving Memory”
In Heaven now golden voice, golden guitar
God said “Welcome John, Heaven’s shining star”

TONY’S STORY. . .
Tony Handley is a farrier /blacksmith who has a great love of horses. His affinity with
horses over many years has kept him every horse owner’s “favourite farrier”. Tony had a
childhood dream to sing since he was 8 years old. With a “God given talent to sing” &
blessed with true-blue country voice he “sings and sounds” like John Denver. Tony is a
humble man, & has been very careful never wishing to present as a “John Denver
Impersonator”. That he is not. He did not set out to be a “John Denver Tribute Singer”
but rather to “pay tribute to the memory of the American Country Music Legend”. Tony
shares the same rare qualities that John had. Humility, love of country music, love of
horses, mountains, wide open spaces. When listening to Tony sing John’s songs,
one has the feeling that John is smiling down from Heaven…approvingly.
